i don't do fan art. i think i've made that rather clear. i also think it's the reason i've had very little success on Deviant. but whatever, i prefer doing my own work than taking after somebody elses so i accept that. my average deviation gets about a dozen hits if i'm lucky. but the brief stabs i've had at fan art get tons of views and it kind of grates on me.

about two days ago i posted something i did when i first got Comic Life using an image from Avatar the Last Airbender. it wasn't that good and only took five minutes, but i thought Avatar fans would find it mildly amusing so i posted it in my scraps section.

two days later the thing has 300 pageviews.

...seriously, what the crap?
